Biography
In 1841 Margaret is recorded on the census as living in Toftingale, Watten, with her father, siblings Margaret and Christina, and nephew George Murray.[1]
Points for Further Research
There is some discrepancy around birth dates. According to the 1841 census return, Margaret would have been born between 1816-1811. However, there is a parish baptism record for Margaret McAdie, born to George McAdie and Elizabeth Henderson, in 1805.[2] Is this the same person or did George and Elizabeth have two daughters by the same name, the child born in 1805 having died in infancy?
