Helen Cora was born in 1928 in Jansen, Saskatchewan. She was the daughter of James Matters and Maud Hall. Helen married Marvin Knutson of Naicam, Saskatchewan. They had three children, Douglas, and two other sons, and lived in Port Alberni, British Columbia. Helen passed away in October 2004 in Port Alberni and was buried in Alberni Valley Memorial Gardens.
