Biography

Isabel Mathewson was born about 1670, daughter of James and Hannah (Field) Mathewson of Providence, Rhode Island. ^{[1] [2] [3]}

She married on June 9, 1696, John Brown Jr. at Providence. He was born on May 18, 1662, son of John and Mary (Holmes) Brown. ^{[1] [4] [2] [3]}

She appears on her son Nathan's birth record, along with her husband, John^[5].

Her husband John died at Providence on September 19, 1719. ^{[1] [4] [2] [3]}

Her death date is uncertain, but after November 23, 1719, when she and her son John administered John Sr.s' estate. ^{[2] [1]}
