"Death Call to Edw. Masters. Well-Known Waynesboro Resident Died at Fountaindale Friday Night.

"W. Edward Masters, of Waynesboro, died Friday night of tuberculosis at the home of his niece, Mrs. Levi Bailey, at Fountaindale, aged 39 years. He had been ill for two months, spending six weeks of that time in the Waynesboro Hospital.

"The body was brought here today to the home of Mr. Masters father-in-law, George W. Gans, 70 East Main street. The funeral will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the First United Brethren Church of which the deceased was a member, and burial in Green Hill Cemetery.

"Surviving Mr. Masters are his wife, who was Mrs. Lida Gans Karle, and one son, William Masters; three step-children, Miss Madeline Karle, Mrs. Gilson Ripple and George Karle; sisters, Mrs. Harry Tressler, Pennersville, and Mrs. Harvey Tressler, near Charmian.

"The deceased was the son of the late William Masters and was born and reared near Monterey. For a number of years he was employed in the shops of the Landis Machine company and worked until failing health forced him to retire. He was well known in Waynesboro where he had lived for some years."
