Biography

Robert Stanley Jeffs Malcolm, son of Duncan and Isabella, was born on 5 Dec 1848 on the ship "Aurora" during the voyage of his parents from Plymouth, before arriving at Port Phillip, Victoria on the 7th Dec 1848. ^[1]

Robert Malcolm married Louisa Taylor in 1872 in Victoria. ^[2]

Robert died on 18 July 1884, aged just 36 years, in Deniliquin NSW. ^{[3] [4]} His death was reported in the Weekly Times (Melbourne, Vic. : 1869 - 1954) Sat 23 Aug 1884 Page 15 Family Notices: ^[5]

MALCOLM.— On the 18th July, at his residence Deniliquin, N.S W,, after a short illness, Robert S. J. Malcolm, aged thirty-six years. Deeply regretted by all who knew him.

His wife, Louisa, was listed as executrix in his will, according to the New South Wales Government Gazette (Sydney, NSW : 1832 - 1900) Tue 5 Aug 1884 [Issue No.392] Page 5335 ECCLESIASTICAL JURISDICTION. ^[6]

In the will of Robert Stanley Jeffs Malcolm, late of Deniliquin, in the Colony of New South Wales, drover, deceased.

NOTICE is hereby given, that after the expiration of fourteen days from the publication hereof in the New South Wales Government Gazette, application will be made to this Honor able Court, in its Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, that probate of the last will and testament of the abovenamed deceased may be granted to Louisa Malcolm, the executrix in the said will named.—Dated this 4th day of August, A.D. 1884.

He was buried at Deniliquin Cemetery, Deniliquin, New South Wales. ^{[7] [8]} His gravestone reads:
