Born on a farm near Birtle on 14 January 1898, son of George John Huntley Malcolm and Janet Inglis Winter (1866-1902).
Listed as living with his family, age 3 in the 1901 Census[1].
He left home to work as a grain buyer for Paterson Grain at Chillon siding (1924-1928). He was subsequently transferred to sites in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, eventually becoming Manager for the Seed Division of Federal Grain at Winnipeg. In 1955, he was appointed to the National Harbours Board at Ottawa where he served for ten years, being responsible for the operation of its terminal elevators. On 18 December 1926, he married Iola Martha Taylor (1907-1995) at Foxwarren and they had three children: Neil Taylor Malcolm (1928-?), Shirley Mable Malcolm, and Lilian Marie Malcolm. He was an active member of Sparling United Church and Chalmers United Church, and served on the Winnipeg School Board. In 1967, he retired to Winnipeg for a short time then moved to Victoria, British Columbia before returning to Ottawa in 1984 where he died on 31 October 1996[2][3].
In 1906 Campbell was 8, living with his parents, George Malcolm, 30 and Ada Malcolm, 30. Their children were May Malcolm, 13; Marian Malcolm, 11; Geo Malcolm, 10 and Campbell Malcolm, 8[4].
In 1916 Campbell was 18, living with his parents, Huntly Malcolm, 57 and Adelaide Malcolm, 53. George Malcolm, 20 and Campbell Malcolm, 18 were the last of their children living with them on the farm[5].
On 18 Dec 1926 Campbell married Iola Martha Taylor in Foxwarren, Manitoba, Canada[6].
In 1955 he was appointed to the National Harbours Board, Ottawa.
In 1974 he was retired and lived in Esquimalt, Saanich BC electoral district[7].
He died on 31 Oct 1996, age 99 in Ottawa Municipality, Ontario, Canada and was interred with Iola in Pinecrest Cemetery, Ottawa. His residence was in Victoria, BC. His obituary was published on 4 Nov 1996 in the Times Colonist, Victoria. The obituary lists children Shirley Colley, Marie Enns and Neil Malcolm. Find a Grave listed his family as Parents: George John Huntley Malcolm, 1865–1930 and Janet Inglis Winter Malcolm, 1866–1902. Spouse: Iola Martha Taylor Malcolm, 1907–1985 (m. 1926).
