The clipper ship, Ticonderoga was infamous for her "fever ship" voyage in 1852 from Liverpool (England) on 4 August 1852 to Port Phillip, Victoria (Australia) carrying 795 passengers and arriving on 22 December 1852. More than 100 people perished on the voyage[2]. The MAGGS family on board consisted of

He passed away in October 1886 in Ringwood, Colony of Victoria[4] and was buried at the Box Hill Cemetery[5].
