Biography

Chapman was born in 1877 to Robert Lawrie and Betsy Innes in St. Monance, Fife. ^[1]

Chapman was enumerated in the 1901 Scotland Census living with his parents in the West End of St. Monance. Chapman was 23 and a fisherman. His parents were Robert a 54 year old fisherman and his mother Betsy was also 54. Still living with him were his siblings: Robert 26, Jacobina 21, and David 14. ^[2]

Chapman supposedly drowned at sea while serving as 2nd Hand on the Agnes Irvine out of Methil. He disappeared 18 Aug 1911. ^[3]
