Daughter of the late Joseph III and Catherine (Burns) Lockwood, she was also predeceased by her husband, Harry W. Hammell; her brother, Harold Lockwood, and her sisters, Mabel Steepy and Mildred Sheldon, Ruth is survived by her daughters, Bonnie R. Pugliese and her husband, Michael J., of Hamilton Square and Kathleen Flacco Morgano of Seaside Park; her sons, George Stout and his wife, Angie, of Woodstock, GA, and Harry J. Hammell and his wife, Deborah, of Hamilton; her grandchildren, Bonnie Marie Devlin, Jerry (Jennifer) Morgano, Joseph and Matthew Hammell and Tammy (Fred) Barringer, Cindy (Patrick) Ruth Harney, Brian (Dawn) Stout and their mother, Patricia Walton Stout; 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Full Obituary: Ruth M. Hammell, 90, of Hamilton Square, passed away Sunday in Compassionate Care Hospice in Trenton.Born in Trenton, Ruth was a longtime Trenton and Hamilton area resident.She was a retired waitress, having worked at Roman Hall and Tattoni's Restaurants in Chambersburg for many years.She was an avid reader, loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City.Daughter of the late Joseph III and Catherine (Burns) Lockwood, she is also predeceased by her husband Harry W. Hammell, her brother, Harold Lockwood, and her sisters, Mabel Steepy and Mildred Sheldon, Ruth is survived by her daughters, Bonnie R. Pugliese and her husband Michael J. of Hamilton Square, Kathleen Flacco Morgano of Seaside Park; her sons, George Stout and his wife Angie of Woodstock, GA, and Harry J. Hammell and his wife Deborah of Hamilton; her grandchildren, Bonnie Marie Devlin, Jerry (Jennifer) Morgano, Joseph and Matthew Hammell, and Tammy (Fred) Barringer, Cindy (Patrick) Harney, Brian (Dawn) Stout and their mother, Patricia Walton Stout; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.The funeral service will be held 11:30am Friday at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.
