Biography
Brig-Gen. Malcolm Orme Little (born Malcolm Robert Little) (1858-1931), the son of Archibald Little and Jane Orme, was born in 1857 at London, England, United Kingdom.
- He gained the rank of Major with the 9th Lancers in March 1900, promoted to Lt.-Col. in 1904.
- He served in the Second Anglo-Afghan War for which he received the medal with two clasps and the bronze star. In the South African War he was mentioned in despatches (MiD) three times.
- He commanded a Yeomanry brigade in the First World War.
- He was made a C.B. in 1904 and a C.B.E. in 1919.
- He was a champion polo player.
He married Iris Hermione, daughter of Albert Brassey Esq., (1840-1918) of Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire.
- On 19 January 1923, Little was commissioned as a Deputy Lieutenant for the County of Warwick.
- He died aged 73 on the 1st of February 1931 at his home in Rugby, Warwickshire, England.
