Thomas Lilly was born on 16 Dec 1888 in St Helens, Lancashire. He was the eldest child of Henry Lilly and Hannah (Dixon) Lilly.

His sister Ellen was born in 1890 in St Helens. Her birth was registered in the last quarter of the year, in Prescot district.

By April 5th 1891, the family were living at 8 Lee Street, Sutton. Thomas' father was employed as a plate glass polisher. There were two children - Thomas aged 2, and Ellen, who was 5 months old.

Thomas' sister Hannah was born on 15 Dec 1892 in St Helens. Her birth was registered in the first quarter of 1893, in Prescot district.

His sister Ada was born on 28 Apr 1895 in St Helens. Her birth was registered in the second quarter of the year, in Prescot district.

Frances died in 1955 in St Helens, aged 69. She was buried on 13 Apr 1955 in St Helens Cemetery, in a family grave.

Thomas died in 1963, aged 74. He was buried on 23 Mar 1963 with his wife.
