Jeremiah Wilcox Kinne was born in 1846. He was the son of Samuel Kinne and Angelina Marvin.

Civil War History: The following is taken from New York in the War of the Rebellion, 35th ed. Frederick Phisterer. Albany: J. B. Lyon Company, 1912.

Captain James B. Caryle was authorized, July 9, 1863, to recruit the 35th Battery. This authority was recalled September 25, 1863, and the men already enlisted assigned to the 16th Artillery as Company A.

Railroad Accident Death: Jeremiah Kinne a well known resident of Ilion was struck by an engine on the D.L.&W. railroad near Corning Wednesday and instantly killed. For several years he had been engaged with the bridge building force on the Lackawanna railroad, acting as engineer of the hoisting apparatus. Jeremiah Kinne was survived by his wife, two sons, Charles B and Reuben E., of Ilion and one daughter, Mrs. John Gates of Paterson; two brothers, Manuel Kinne, Ilion and Isaac Kinne of Elmira. He passed away in 1902.
