Biography

Early Years

Edward George (George) King was born on 4 December 1920, his birth registered between Jan-Mar 1921. He is the son of Edwin George (George) King and Theodorina Victorina Deboysere.^[1]

George was the only child of George and Theodorina. George's mother, Theodorina, was a refugee from Belgium during the Great War 1914-18.

In 1939, George (born 4 Dec 20), a Shop Assistant Provisions, was living at High Street, Okehampton, Devon, with his father Edwin G King (born 16 Jan 91), Farm Labourer, and mother Theodorina (born 17 July 93), Unpaid Domestic Duties.^[2]

Marriage

George married Astrid Cecilia Frisk, their marriage registered between Jul-Sep 1944 at St Pancras, Middlesex.^[3]

George and Astrid had two children:

1. Nigel E King, born 1949
2. Pauline C King, born 1955

In 1950 George and Astrid were living at 44 Clevedon Mansions, Camden, London, with Astrid's mother Lilian Agnes Frisk.^[4]

Death

George died in 1995, aged 74, his death registered between Apr-Jun 1995 at Canterbury, Kent.^[5]
