Henry was born in 1861. He is the son of Charles Kensington and Olivia Maturin. [1]
UK Census Date 1861: Living with his parents and 8 siblings in High Street, Bruton, Somersetshire, England. He was just an infant. Also in the household were two servants.
Henry emigrated from England to New Zealand with his parents and siblings on the ship William Miles, arriving on 12 November 1862, during the New Zealand Maori land wars.
At the age of 32 he married Emily Clements on 12 January 1893 at Mahurangi.[2]
They had at least 3 children; Dorothy Myrtle, Gladys and Kenneth Grey.
He passed away in 1914 at the age of 53.
