In May or June 1863, Jacob, 30, a sawyer, and his brother?, Peter Keller, 34, a merchant, both of Lock Haven, Pa. were drafted into the 18th Congressional Division of Pennsylvania to fight in the Civil War. Both were recorded as married and from Germany. [2]
On 2 July 1870, Philip, Cristina and 7 of their children were living in Lock Haven, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. Philip was a Labourer and Cristina was a Housekeeper. [3]
