Biography
Charles's age on the census and middle initial on marriage records and children's baptismal records is consistent with him being the Charles Frederick Keller, son of Jacob and Catherine Keller; also, on the 1860 census he's living next to a Catherine Keller who's old enough to be his mother.
Charles probably died between 1860 and 1870, as he isn't listed with his family on the 1870 census.
