Researchers have assigned James Keay & Helen Imbrie as his parents. However it is not conclusive.

An Andrew Keay may have been born in abt. 1752 in Fowlish-Wester, Perthshire, Scotland. However no birth and baptism parish record can been sourced.
The birth date seems early for the 1796 marriage to Ann Bruce.
He may have passed away in May 1824 in Stocknagraig, Scotland (Is this meant to be Slocknacraig in Glenshee?). However no death record can be sourced.

It should be noted that James and Helen’s son William did not name any of his children Andrew. The name Andrew is also not cited in the names of William’s grandchildren.
