Biography

William was born in 1872. He is the son of James Keay and Elsie Chalmers. He died in 1966; the probate says he was a labourer.

He was a farmer in Ruarangi, near Whangarei.

He was a Driver with the N.Z. Army Service Corps. in WWI, No 28891. His next-of-kin was his brother James Keay. [1]

He married Mary Alexandrina Brown in the parish of St Andrew, Dundee, Scotland on 14th January 1919.
