Margaret was born on 21 June 1868 in Kirkdale, Lancashire, England. She was the daughter of John Kay and Ellen (Holliday) Kay. [1]
She was baptised on 8 November 1868 at St John's church, Bootle, Lancashire.[2]
In the 1871 census she (age 2) was the daughter of John Kaye in Liverpool, Kirkdale, Lancashire.[3]
