On this twelfth day of February AD 1864 ... Bridget McGrath a resident of Clinton in the County of Worcester ... aged 24 years ... she is the widow of Henry McGrath who was a Private in Company "G" ... in the thirty sixth Regiment of Mass Vols ... who died on or about the tenth day of October 1863 at Crab Orchard Ky of disease - that her maiden name was Joyce. That her said husband left surviving him two children under sixteen years of age,both now living in said Clinton, John Thomas aged 4 years 10 mos and Mary Ann aged 2 years & 8 months. ... she was married to the said Henry McGrath on the Eighteenth day of October in the parish of Louisburg, Ireland in the year 1858 ...^[2]
