During the American Revolutionary War, he served as a seaman in the Georgia navy and later as a cornet in the militia of North Carolina.
In 1779 part of NC,Craven-Co went into the formation of NC,Jones Co.
In 1806 he moved his family to to Bulloch Co, GA where he served as a Justice of the Bulloch County Court from 1808 to 1813.
On 01 May 1819 he made a lengthy Last Will. The will was recorded in Bulloch County, Georgia. Of note he leaves to his “beloved son Berry (there is no Barry Noble Jones listed in the will) Jones a plantation”. His wife Rachel is mentioned with other children. [2]
In 1819 he was buried at Lower Lotts Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Statesboro, Bulloch Co, GA.

"Georgia to Aaron Everitt, County Surveyor of said county, you are hereby authorized and required admeasure and lay out, or cause to be admeasured and laid out, unto Bridger JONES. a tract of land, which shall contain five hundred and fifty acres including the improvement where Jesse Mixon now lives in the county of Bullock on headrights. Taking special care that the same has not heretofore been laid out to any other person or persons and you are also hereby directed and required to record a plat of the same in your office and transmit a copy thereof together with this warrant to the Surveyor General, within the term of two years from this date. Given under our hands as Justices of the said court, this 1st of January 1800; (attest), Charles McCall, W. H. Redding, C. L. C., Samuel Peacock, Josiah Jones, William Parker.
