I managed to connect my family tree to yours. I wonder if Nicholas Gibbons' kids married in with the same Williams family (it's likely!), the daughter Matilda (your ancestor) became a Williams, and my ancestor (Fred) married a Williams into the family!
Greetings!

My name is Paul Jeffery I have been doing my family genealogy for a few years now but need to prove a few things to say definitively where some of my ancestors came from. If I can help and at the same time garner some new information I will be pleased. My fathers, mothers family were one of New Zealands first families to settle In New Plymouth. My Mothers family Settled on the Manukau Harbour Auckland New Zealand and were famed as Timber cutters and Merchants who Arrived from New Foundland. I believe that my mothers line goes back to the Christian family of Mutiny on the Bounty fame but I still have to confirm this.

one of my ancestors arrived in the Second fleet to Sydney Australia and was the first Jew to be mentioned as a member of that faith to die in Australia. His daughter was one of the first to be freeborn in Australia and married another convict who came to New Zealand with his family.
