Biography

Isabel (Imrie) Honeyman was born in Scotland.

Isabel was born about 1754 in Scotland.

She married Archibald Honeyman on 31 December 1785 at Kettle, Fife^[1]. They had several children including David.

She was 75 years old when she died in the village of Star, Fife, and was interred 17 Feb 1829 in the Markinch Church yard.^[2]

Research Notes

• Removed Robert Imrie and Rachel Buist as parents. Although they had a daughter named Isabel, she was not born until 1774.
• The "cautioner" on the wedding record was David Imrie (probably her father or brother). If the tradition of naming the second son after the maternal father and the first daughter after the maternal mother was followed, then her parents names would be David and Mary.
• Isabel is buried on the left side of Janet Wylie, spouse of David Honeyman, in the Markinch Church yard. Janet Wylie was her daughter-in-law who died in 1823.^[2]
