Biography

Johann Jacob Hühn was born about 1734 in Fraurombach, son of Johann Jacob Hühn (1687 - 1767) and Margaretta von Fraurombach (1695 - 1770).[1]

His siblings were:

  1. Johannes Hühn (~1721 - )
  2. Johann Sebaldus Hühn (1730 - 1795)
  3. Johann Georg Hühn (1736 - 1796)
  4. Anna Margaretha Hühn (~1740 - )

Johann Jacob (~29) married Anna Geta Etling (24) (1739 - 1802) on 24 Nov 1763 in Schlitz.[2] Their son was Johann Konrad Hühn (1780 - 1854).

He was a master linenweaver by profession.

Johann Jacob died on 19 Apr 1795 in Schlitz aged ~60 and was buried on 21 Apr 1795.[1]

Research notes

Birth entry of Johann Jacob Hühn not found in the church book of Schlitz between 1730 and 1736. He was born in Fraurombach according to the marriage entry. Fraurombach was a branch of Schlitz, his baptism should be found in the church book of Schlitz. Probably Fraurombach belonged to the parish of Hutzdorf in this period since there are some entries for Fraurombach. Unfortunately the batismal records for Hutzdorf at Archion start only in 1744
