Biography

Ida Hutton, daughter of Alexander Hutton & Margaret Miller, was born 19 June 1882 in Tuscola, Michigan, United States.^[1][2]

In the 1900 census Ida (age 18) was the single daughter of Alexander Hutton in Gilford Township, Tuscola, Michigan, United States.^[3]

Ida (age 27), daughter of Alexander Hutton & Margaret Miller, married Frank L Otis (age 37) on 11 February 1910 in Windsor, Essex, Ontario, Canada.^[4] Frank was twice divorced before their marriage (although he claimed to be a widower) and the couple divorced due to his extreme cruelty in the early 1920s.^[5]

In the 1910 census Ida (age 21) was the wife of Frank L Otis in Seattle Ward 2, King, Washington, United States.^[6]

Ida (age 35), daughter of Alex & Margaret Miller, married Walter Hadley Hanna (age 37) in 1924 in Wayne, Michigan, United States.^[7]

In the 1930 census Ida (age 47) was the wife of Walter A Hanna in Detroit (Districts 0251-0500), Wayne, Michigan, United States.^[8]

In the 1940 census Ida (age 53) was the wife of Walter Hanna in Cambria Township, Hillsdale, Michigan, United States.^[9]

In the 1950 census Ida (age 63) was the wife of Walter H Hanna in Cambria, Hillsdale, Michigan, United States. Her husband was a Farmer.^[10]

Ida died in June 1970 in Hillsdale, Michigan.^[11] She was buried in Brookside Cemetery, Fairgrove, Tuscola County, Michigan, United States.^[12]

Research Notes

It was previously incorrectly assumed that Ida was the son of William Hutton because: "Ida Hutton Hanna, Walter Hadley Hanna and John Hutton are o n the invitation list for the 50t h anniversary of Alexande r and Caroline Taylor in 1928. William appears to be the o nly son o f Ezekial and Flora Hutton, therefore can we assu me that Ida and John are the children of Wil liam. (No proof as of June 2003) - author of this note unknown. Information corrected by Hutton-2752 May 1st 2024 21:30 PDT due to sources for her marriage & corresponding birth record.
