Biography

George Murray HORSEBURGH, son of Alexander HORSEBURGH and Nicholas (SANDILANDS) HORSEBURGH was born on 14 December 1818 in Tynninghame, Haddingtonshire, Scotland and baptized on 3 Jan 1819 in the parish of Whitekirk, Haddingtonshire witnessed by Richard Sandilands & Thomas Anderson.^{[1] [2]}

He was charged with theft or robbery in 1850 at the High Court in Edinburgh and was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment.^[3][4][5]

In the 1841 census George (age 20), Ag Lab, was in Whitekirk, Whitekirk and Tynninghame, East Lothian.^[6]

In the 1851 census George (age 24), Labourer, was the prisoner of Josiah Kirkwood in Perth, Perthshire.^[7]

He died in 1863 in Dunbar, Haddingtonshire, Scotland at a recorded age of 35 years.^[8]
