Bob Homme CM is Notable.

Robert Mandt Homme was born in Stoughton, Dane, Wisconsin on March 8, 1919. He was the second of two children born to Raymond Blaine Homme and Roselyn Henrietta Hanson.

Robert married Esther Eleanor Anderson, the widow of Howard Truman Hanson, on 25 May 1947 in Stoughton, Wisconsin, United States.^[1] They had four children.

In the 1950 census Robert (age 31), Script Writer, was the married head of household in Madison, Dane, Wisconsin, United States.^[2]

Bob was the host of the children's program The Friendly Giant, which began as a radio program on WHA-AM in Madison, Wisconsin in 1953, and subsequently moved to WHA-TV. Kinescopes of the program reached the headquarters of the CBC, and in 1958, the show moved to CBC. The show was cancelled in 1985.

Bob was invested as a Member of the Order of Canada on November 2, 1998.

Bob died in Grafton, Northumberland, Ontario on May 2, 2000. He was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Grafton.^[3]
