Biography

David Henderson was born 12 December 1806 at Torryburn, Fife, Scotland, to George Henderson and Agnes Anderson. ^[1] (Note that he is recorded as son of Agnes on his birth record, but as son of Ann on his marriage record. )

David Henderson from Torryburn, married Margaret Stirling of Fossoway, on 18 Nov 1859 at the Waulk Mill of Tulliebole, Fossoway and Tulliebole, Kinross-shire, Scotland. ^[2]

David and Margaret Henderson had four children: Janet Henderson born 1849 (10 years before her parent's marriage), George Hendersonborn 1861, Anne Henderson born 1864, and Margaret Henderson born 1867.

David features in the censuses for 1861 to 1881 with his occupation recorded as 'carter'.^[3], ^[4],^[5]

David Henderson died on 4th August 1889, aged 82 years at Torryburn, Fife, Scotland, and is buried in a well marked grave with Margaret ( Stirling) Henderson at the rear of the Torryburn Parish Church at the north entry to the Torryburn township in Fife, Scotland. ^[7],^[6]
