Research notes
Son Archibald is assumed to be the Archibald blacksmith marrying Margaret McEwan by naming pattern of his children and location (and lack of visible alternatives ever having presented themselves from research and / or DNA testing). He is also of an age to have married in 1804. Henderson-2297 23:14, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
Daughter Mary is not the Mary Henderson married to Thomas Hay, that one belonged to James Henderson and Isabella Cullen instead (Dth Cert.)
As William was around to father a son David, baptized in 1783, this William is not the son of James Henderson married to Margaret Watson and then Janet Watson as James' testament [2], written in 1780 clearly states he has only one son and one daughter "in life" (John Henderson in Murdochstoune, and Margaret (daughter of Margaret) wife of George Christie "wright in Rapploch near Stirling".
James' son John married Margaret Dogg, and their son Thomas was the baptism entry following that for Wiliam's son Archibald in the Kilmadock OPRs
↑ Testament: James Henderson 27 Nov 1793 "sometime tenant in Biggings, thereafter in Westfield of Ochtertyre, parish of Kincardine", Dunblane Commissary Court CC6/5/30
