John married and had a couple of children when his own estate was settled in February 1863. The record states the court had known he had been deceased for at least sixty days, so that would put his death sometime in 1862. [4]
His wife is unknown, and she predeceased him or died just prior to his estate being settled; as the three children are all appointed guardians and listed as orphans in 1863. Herndon W. Henderson, Amanda Ann Henderson,
John is listed as John A. Henderson during the settlement of his father's estate, and listed as John B. Henderson in his own estate records. The assumption is that they are one and the same. This could be wrong.
