Biography

Eliza (Henderson) Dobbie was born in Scotland.

Elizabeth (known as Eliza) was born in 1879 at Montrose, Forfarshire, Scotland, and her birth was registered at Montrose^[1]. She was the daughter of Matthew Henderson and Janet Leighton.

In 1881 she aged 2 was living with her parents, Matthew (a general labourer aged 34) and Jane (34), and two brothers - James (6), George (5), both scholars- and two sisters - Mary Ann (3) and Martha Jane (6 months) - at 14, Wharf Street, Montrose, Forfarshire^[2].

She married David Easton Davidson Dobbie in 1896 with the marriage registered at Montrose^[3]. David and Elizabeth had four children.
