Arthur was born in 1916. He was the son of Harold Hawksworth and Lena Thompson.
He died in 1942, lost at sea in H.M. Submarine Thorn[1] while serving with the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (R.N.V.R.). He was 26 years of age.
