Henry was born about 1660. He was the son of Thomas Harmanson and Johanna Andrews.
Henry made his last will dated 15th April 1709 in Northampton, Virginia. It was proved 28th May 1709 in Northampton County Court. He therein named his wife Gertrude and children Mathew, Elizabeth, Sarah, Esther, Anne, Tabitha, Sophiah, and the child his wife was carrying at the time he wrote his will.[1]
He married, first, Elizabeth Patrick, daughter of Mathew Patrick and Judith (Unknown). They had two children.
Henry later married Gertrude Littleton , the daughter of Southey Littleton and Sarah (Bowman) Littleton. They had children:
Note: The name of Henry's daughter Esther was mis-transcribed as Elishe in W. A. Crozier's publication Virginia County Records. To view an image of her name from the original will, see her profile. This is further substantiated by the will of her mother Gertrude Harmanson, dated 11th September 1732, wherein she named Esther as her deceased daughter and John Stratton as son-in-law.
