Frank was born in 1911. He was the son of Frank Hanham and Lucy Bailey. He passed away in 1997.
Frank Albert Hanham, 86, Truro, died Wednesday, March 12, 1997, in Hillcrest Manor, Truro. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Frank and Lucy (Bailey) Hanham. He was a retired commercial traveler with Kerr Control. He was a member of St John's Anglican Church, a charter member of UCT. He coached a girl's softball championship team in 1936 and was an avid hockey and horse race fan. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26. He is survived by his wife, the former Ruth Cameron; daughters, Karen (Mrs Jack Babbings) Lower Sackville; Susan (Mrs Ken Russell), Masstown; Pat (Mrs Jamie Richardson), Halifax; Tammy (Mrs Drew Anderson), Eastern Passage; Kathy (Mrs Tom Heath), St John, NB; Sally, Toronto; sons, Frank and wife Kathy, Castlegar, BC; Paul and wife Pat, Bible Hill; Scott at home; brothers, Alfred and wife Edna, Howard and wife Bertha, Truro; sister Jean Gorrie; 17 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, James; sisters, Elsie, Lucy. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday with a legion service at 7 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St John's Anglican Church, Rev Janet Hatt officiating. Spring burial in Terrace Hill Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia.
