Biography
Sarah Anne was born in about October 1839 in Shaftesbury, Dorset. She was the daughter of John Hanham and Ann Turner.[1]
Sarah Anne was baptised on 13 October 1839 at Holy Trinity, Shaftesbury, Dorset.[2]
On 30 March 1851 Sarah Anne (age 11) was living in Mustons Lane, Shaftesbury.
On 7 April 1861 Sarah Anne (age 21) was employed as a Dressmaker.
On 7 April 1861 Sarah Anne (age 21) was living in St. James St., Shaftesbury.[3]
When Sarah Anne was 22 she married George Stainer on 25 December 1861 in St. James, Shaftesbury. The couple had 9 children: George Theodore Stainer, Sarah Ann Hanham Stainer, John Stainer, James Stainer, Thomas Stainer, Henry (Harry) Stainer, Kate Ann Stainer, Alfred Stainer and Frank Stainer.[4]
On 2 April 1871 Sarah Anne (age 31) was living in St. James St., Shaftesbury.[5]
On 3 April 1881 Sarah Anne (age 41) was living in St. James St., Shaftesbury.[6]
On 5 April 1891 Sarah Anne (age 51) was living in St. James St., Shaftesbury.[7]
On 2 April 1901 Sarah Anne (age 61) was living at 80 St. James St.[8]
On 2 April 1911 Sarah Anne (age 71) was living at 80 St. James, Shaftesbury.[9]
Sarah Anne died at the age of 81 in about September 1921 in Shaftesbury.[10]
