On 14 June (Quaker 4th month) 1750 Capel married Mary Lunn at Devonshire House Quaker Meeting House. The Quaker marriage record describes him as a London merchant, son of Capel Hanbury, deceased merchant of Bristol, and his surviving wife Elizabeth; and her as daughter of William Lunn, deceased wine-cooper of London, and his surviving wife Mary.[1] They had the following children:
John, born in London on 8 August (Quaker 6th month) 1751[2][3]
Capel, who died, age 8 days, on convulsions on 10 November 1752 and was buried at Bunhill Fields Quaker burial ground, London on 13 November[4]

The Quaker death and burial record describes him as a London merchant, age 49, pointing to a birth year of about 1720. It gives the cause of death as a paralytic disorder.[22] His will, dated 15 November 1765, was proved on 16 June 1769. In it he:[23]

See Comment of 7/11/23 under "John Hanbury born about 1760". It seems likely the Capel Hanbury listed here was the son of Capel Hanbury of Bristol a Quaker who married Elizabeth Newton, also Quaker, and who died in Bristol in 1740. If this is correct Capel born 1735 had a sister Elizabeth and married Mary Lunn.
