1910 Census, Fayette, PA: William 18 was living with parents Robert W Hall 44 and Minnie R Hall 41, and siblings were Editha 20, Robert 15, Earl 12, Donald 9, Walter 6, Inez 2. Laurena Coldren 77, mother of Robert W, was living with them.

WW2 draft registration: at that time William Gillespie Hall was living with his wife (Sara) in Washington DC, employed by the US Capitol police force. He was 5 foot 9 and weighed 203 lbs, with brown eyes, gray hair, and a "ruddy" complexion. "W.G.H. 1915" was tattooed on his right forearm.

1964 Marriage certificate of William Gillespie Hall, Sr. (widower) b Apr 22, 1892 and Bernice Evelyn Martin (divorced) b May 5, 1907 shows Wm's parents as Robert E. Hall and Minnie Sample. He was born at Fayette City, PA and lives in Martins Ferry, OH.

William died 1980 and was buried next to Sarah Lola Hall.
