The building was donated by Lee Greiner and moved to the chosen location in the center of the school population. Mrs Art Prouty and Gulnare Stark Lutts circulated the petition. The room was 10 x 12 feet. Planks were laid on nail kegs for seats. Everyone who had school books brought them. School was held for 3 months and then dismissed, while the new school building was built. In 1880 Federal Census, Leander Greiner was living in York, Putnam, Missouri with wife Mary and his family. He passed away in 1928 in Ollie, Montana.
