Maude Elsie Green was born at Alstead, New Hampshire, on 3 Oct 1901, the daughter of Herbert Waldo Green and Fanny Mary (Robbins) Green.^[1][2] She was living with her widowed father at Alstead in 1910 at the age of 10^[3] and in 1920 working as a bookkeeper at the age of 18.^[4]

Marriage

Maude E. Green, 20, bookkeeper, of Alstead, New Hampshire, and George Pillsbury, 32, merchant, divorced, of Greenfield, Massachusetts, married at Alstead on 18 Jan 1922, the groom's second marriage and the bride's first.^[5]
