George Grant is a member of Clan Grant.
George Grant was born about 1833 and was baptised in Watten, Caithness, on 1 September 1833.[1]
In 1851 George Grant was living with his parents and some of his siblings in Loth, Sutherland, at Culgower House, where his father was the farm manager. A number of agricultural workers were also living on the property. George's trade was "ploughman" and his place of birth was stated to be Watten, Caithness.[2]
Records on Ancestry.com indicate that George emigrated to Victoria, Australia, in 1852 along with his parents and (at least) some of his siblings.
