Biography

Robert Graham was a noted leader and well off man. He was road overseer and road surveyor of Augusta County,Virginia. He was the 1st Constable of Calf Pasture Valley in 1745. He fought in the French & Indian War, under the leadership of Capt. Preston 1757-58.

Robert Graham (2), son of Christopher Graham (1) and Margaret Risk, was born c. 1712; died in 1763 in Augusta County, Virginia; married c. 1734, Jean Hicklin, daughter of Thomas Hicklin, Sr. After the death of Robert Graham, Jean Hicklin Graham married Ralph Laverty and they had a child, Rebecca Laverty who married John Hamilton. The will of Robert Graham was dated February 26, 1763 and recorded September 21, 1763 in Will Book 3, page 286, Augusta County, Virginia. It mentions wife, Jean; Sons Thomas and Christopher Graham; daughters Elizabeth, Margaret, Rebecca and Jean; and brother John Graham.
