Biography

David Graham was reportedly born in September 1860, in Pennsylvania, [1] perhaps to David Graham and Nancy Ann Madden. [2] If so, his mother died on 16 November 1864, [3] and his father remarried on 27 August 1867, to Matilda McKeown. [4] That David's sister, Nancy Ann Graham, married Margaret Kennedy's brother, William Kennedy. In 1870 the siblings David and Nancy were living with their father, stepmother and siblings, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They were both attending school.[2]

On 8 March 1880, he married Margaret Kennedy. They were married by Pastor Landry, of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. [5] According to the 1900 and 1910 censuses, five of her children had died (including Elizabeth and William); six were alive in 1900 (Jennie, Nancy Anna, Margaret, David, Hettie, and Robert). [1][6]

Nancy Anna Graham (1883-1947)

Hettie Pearl Graham (1894-1964)
Robert J. Graham (1896-1971)
Matilda Helen Graham (1902-1953)

In 1880, David and Maggie were living at 310 Sergeant Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Daid was a wheelwright. [7]

They lived in Canada, at least from 1889 to 1896 (based on their children's birthplaces). In 1891, they were living in Markham Village, York East, Ontario, with their children. David was a carpet weaver. [8]

In 1900, David and Margarite were living at 308 Genesee, Buffalo, Erie County, New York. David was a carpet weaver. They were living with their children Anna, Maggie, David, Hettie, and Robert. Maggie had had eleven children, six of whom were alive. [1]

On 5 March 1908, he died, in Buffalo, Erie County, New York. He fell down the front stairs at his home, at 457 Genesse Street, and died almost instantly of a broken neck. [9] [10] [11]
