Biography

Euphemia ('Euphons' in birth record) was born Jan 14, 1794 Yarrow, Selkirkshire to John Givans/Givens/Given and Jane Wight). John Givans, a 'letter sheppard', father William & mother Margaret Harvey, married Jane Wight Jan 20, 1793 in Yarrow. Euphemia had 4 known siblings, William (1795), Adam (1802), Margaret (1807), and Jane (1810).

Euphemia married Robert Glendinning and had 4 known children, Jane (1821-1872), James (1826-1884), Robert (Feb 6, 1829), Euphemia (1833). She died Feb 19, 1850 in Crichton.

She was still alive on the 1841 census, but gone by 1851. In 1841 only Jane (aka Jean) is with them. Where are the younger children??
