Thomas was born about 1585. He passed away before 1658.
A Thomas Gipson sailed to Jamestown, Virginia. The names of the ships differ:
The John and Francis ships departed Virginia and arrived at London (probably in June or July, since Captain Newport was also the commander of the next vessel to Virginia). The Phoenix, which had left England in its company, had not yet arrived (but did arrive on April 20).[1]
Captain Christopher Newport returned to Virginia with the 'Second Supply' on the ship named Mary and Margaret with arrival at Jamestown in October of 1608. List of settlers - Thomas Gipson - a tradesman .[2]
Ship and Passenger Information:
Type: small bark Captain Christopher Newport, commander
Passenger: Namontack . . . Powhatan's "son" (actually a servant), taken to England as a "Virginia prince". Returned with the "Second Supply". (Newport's "sonne", Thomas Savage, actually a laborer who arrived in the First Supply, was traded by John Smith as a hostage for Namontack's safe return.)[3]

The Paspahegh tribe were tributaries to the Powhatan paramount chiefdom, incorporated into the chiefdom around 1596 or 1597.[1] The Paspahegh Indian tribe lived in present-day Charles City and James City counties, Virginia. The Powhatan tribes were a group of Native Americans who spoke a branch of Algonquian language.
The Paspehegh sub-tribe was among the earliest to have interaction with the English colonists, who established their first permanent settlement in the Virginia Colony at Jamestown in the Paspahegh's territory (where the Paspaheghs lived, hunted and gathered), beginning on May 14, 1607.
The Sandy Point Cemetery is in Charles City County; (Home of the Paspahegh Indians)
