Biography

Ruth was born in 1906. She was the daughter of Albert Gibson and Martha Jane Ely.

Ruth married Alexander McGlothlin on June 21, 1924 in Tippecanoe County, Indiana.^[1][2]

She passed away in 1996.^[3][4][5]

Ruth was buried in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana.^[6]

Obituary

Ruth L. Gibson McGlothlin, 89, of 2604 Cason St., died at 7:34 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, at Regency Place. Born Oct. 11, 1906, in Lafayette, she lived here all of her life. She married Alexander McGlothlin on June 21, 1924, in Lafayette. He died April 29, 1983. Mrs. McGlothlin was a homemaker and a member of Congress Street United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and playing cards. Surviving are two sons, Donald A. McGlothlin of Reynolds and Kenneth L. McGlothlin Sr. of Lafayette; three daughters, Mrs. Jack (Lucille) Pelfree of Lafayette, Mrs. Maxine Yerk of Reynolds and Mrs. Gordon (Patricia J.) Smith of Lafayette.^[7]
