Information has been handed down in my Sam Gipson's family that his father was a Furlong. The Furlong man was engaged to Nancy but was killed in a knife fight before they could be wed. Harris' death has been noted to have occured up to two years before Sam was born. Nancy then married my 3x great grandfather, Isaac Blair. There have been some of my Gipson cousins to show their paternal side leading to the Furlong surname. Harris' Wikitree site states that no known yDNA test taker in his direct paternal line but Will Gipson is a direct male decendent on this Wikitree site.
