Biography
Opal Lee Gipson was born on May 12, 1923, in Seagoville, Texas, the last child of Lillie Brigham, age 29, first wife of Wilburn Mathew Gipson, age 34. In 1930 her family was living in Kaufman County where her father was a farmer on rented land. [1] Her mother died in 1930 and the 1930 census shows her newly remaried father and children still living at Rfd 1, in Crandall, Texas/ [2]
She married Ernest J Connor in about 1946. They had one son and three daughters. They divorced in February 1976 in Los Angeles County, California. [3]
She died on February 26, 2012, in Lynwood, California, at the age of 88.
