Biography

William was born in 1781, in Virginia. HIs parents were David Gipson and Martha Parks.

On 21 Mar 1805, in Green, Kentucky, he married Sally McClure. They initially settled in Green, Kentucky and by 1803 in Jackson, Tennessee. They had 5 known children (per census or Find-A-Grave records).

He is shown owning land on 17 Oct 1831 in Jackson.

He lived the remainder of her life in Jackson, where he was a farmer. He passed away in 1851 and was buried at the Gainesboro Cemetery.
