Biography

Richard was born and baptised^[1] at Bottisham, Cambridgeshire in 1706. He is the son of Richard Gibson and his wife Margaret. Richard was married to 18-year old Susan Prime in 1733 at Meldreth, Cambridgeshire^[2] and they had eight children, four of each, but lost one daughter in infancy and all the sons between 0-19 years of age. Richard died in 1771 at Whaddon, Cambridgeshire recorded as a farmer's servant there, or otherwise a Farm Labourer^[3]. He was buried at Meldreth^[4].
