Biography

Norma (Gipson) Patton is a part of US Black heritage.

Norma Louise Gipson was born on 15 May 1926 in Shelbyville, Shelby, Missouri, United States, daughter of James Everett Gipson and Ruth Constance McGruder.

She married Robert Kendrick Ashby on 2 March 1947 in Burlington, Iowa, United States and they had at least five children together. They later divorced because Norma remarried around 1990, before Robert's death.^[1]

She later married Terrell Spencer Patton Jr after his previous wife's death in 1990.

Norma died on 30 Jul 1991 in Lee County, Iowa, United States, aged 65.^{[2] [3] [4]}

Research Notes

One of the surnames given in an SSA record was Woods, but I couldn't find any additional information.^[2]
